Mozambique – Cholera Outbreak
Confirmed: Cholera in Tete Province. Therefore, there are 1,702 cumulative Colera cases and 19 deaths confirmed in Nampula (815 cases and 1 death), Niassa (310 cases and 6 deaths) and Tete (577 cases and 12 deaths);
- On 10 February 2015 it was registered a total of 113 new Colera cases in Nampula (15), Niassa (6) and Tete (92);
- The first cases of Cholera were detected on 25.12.14 in Nampula, 12 January 2015 in Niassa and 31 January 2015 in Tete. In one and half week Tete registered 577 cases of Cholera being Moatize dsitrict the most affected;
- 244 cumulative cases of diarrhea and 2 deaths confirmed in Sofala province, Caia district. On 10 February 2015 there were 7 new cases;
- The cases of diarrhea recorded so far in Nampula, Tete and Sofala are relatively higher than in 2014 for the same provinces
