Cape Town Airport Road Warning
Cape Town N2 Road Warning
The City of Cape Town has warned motorists travelling to or from the airport on the N2 highway to be vigilant and alert to possible criminal activity, reports News24. The city warns of a scheme in which criminals place concrete blocks and other obstructions on the road with the intent to damage cars and force them to a stop. This allows the criminals to rob or hijack their targets. The warning follows an incident late on Sunday night, where a woman was robbed of her belongings in a similar manner. The N2 is the major highway leading to Cape Town International Airport (CTIA), meaning that both international and local travellers are at risk, especially when having to catch early-morning or late-night flights.
